Artist Statement
My painting goal is to order symbolic fragments into a
state of pure painting. They are not concerned with a description of the
seen world, rather they are involved with the mystery of the human experience.
Our ambiguities and contradictions are isolated into a pictorial form
that can be contemplated; a form where multiple meanings may be examined,
where shifting states of consciousness are engaged. My oil paintings do
not represent emotion. They transcend it.
